Leaders World University Higher Institute of Professional Studies (LWHIPS) and Saint Clement’s Private University (SCPU) – Ecole de Commerce Collaborate to Advance Education, Innovation, Enterprise, and Research.
On February 11th, 2024, a collaborative partnership was established between Leaders World University Higher Institute of Professional Studies (LWHIPS) Kumba and Ecole de Commerce – Saint Clement Private University (SCPU) Switzerland at the LWHIPS campus.
LWHIPS is a global educational opportunity initiative of Leaders World University – Global Campus (LWU-GC) – USA. LWU-GC was established and incorporated in the State of Maryland – USA, with Departmental ID Number W21588041, as a higher education and research institution with a broad range of online and on-site programs.
LWHIPS Kumba is an accredited higher educational institution in Cameroon (Authorization No: 23 05572/2L/ MINESUP/SG/DDES/ESUP/SDA/NA). LWHIPS Kumba has the following schools: Medical and Biomedical Sciences, Computer Engineering, Banking and Finance, Management Sciences, Agricultural and Food Sciences, and Educational Sciences. It is situated at Treasury Street behind Total Bonjour Buea Road (the same building with the Kumba Central Cooperative Credit Union Building).
Ecole de Commerce SCPU (School of Business) is a part of SCPU, registered in the Swiss Canton of Vaud (IDE/UID CHE-114.105.060). To ensure the professional relevancy of its programs, each program is taught in conjunction with an industry-based professional body specializing in the relevant program major. These degrees are all practical, fulfilling the educational requirements of leading industry-based professional organizations.
The agreement was established by SCPU Board President Dr. David Cornu, the coordinator for Ecole de Commerce Switzerland in Cameroon, Prof. Dr. Daniel Tabeng Tata, and the Chancellor of Leaders World University, Dr. Ralph Etchu, represented and vetted by the Provost of LWHIPS, Dr. Mukete Theophilus.
This collaboration is to advance education and research in the areas of Business Administration, Management, and Logistics. Bachelors, Masters degrees and professional Certifications of agreed specializations of LWHIPS shall be issued by Ecole de Commerce SCPU – Switzerland. This partnership brings together two esteemed institutions with a shared commitment to academic excellence and innovation.
“Thank you very much for this partnership. It is a pleasure to work with your university,” said Dr. Mukete Theophilus, the provost for LWHIPS. “We promise to give the best quality education we can provide.”
Signed copies of this document were presented to the SCPU board president, Dr. David Cornu, who added his veto on it, thus sealing the partnership.
“This partnership will open a new horizon for transferring innovative technological skills between Europe and Africa. Furthermore, our students will be able to benefit from academic exchange programs between both universities”, said the President of Leaders World University – Global Campus, Dr. Ralph Etchu.
The partnership between LWHIPS and SCPU represents a significant step forward in strengthening academic ties and fostering collaboration between institutions. Both universities are committed to leveraging their collective expertise and resources to impact the educational community and beyond positively.
